Creativity

Wow, I didn't realise how long it had been since I last posted something! I have been working on my art journal everyday and here are a couple of pages I have recently finished.

This one may be hard to read but it says "You can anything as long as you can dream it". It's a quote from Astrid in Once Upon a Time. I like it because of how true it is, and I try to keep this mindset whenever I'm having trouble doing something.

Chilly Melbourne Days

One often finds that on rainy days such as these, when the skies are grey and the heating in the house doesn't work, that it is best to rug up and have an inside day. Today I spent my time writing an essay for my forensics class, all rugged up in two jumpers, ugg boots and a wooly hat.

As I sat down at my desk to write I realised I was missing a few things; namely tea and music. I decided on using my Doctor Who TARDIS mug as it is the biggest one I have, and even comes with a lid!

I then had to decide on my music and I eventually created a playlist consisting of Postmodern Jukebox, the Amelie soundtrack, Bastille, Birdy, Tony DeSare and the good old reminiscent Hannah Montana songs.

For lunch I was lucky enough to be treated to fresh homemade bread and soup, which were both simply delectable.

Whilst eating I took a break from my studies to watch the new Once Upon a Time episode - which was amazing of course, although admittedly I was in tears by the end (I won't share what happened, in case anyone has yet to watch it).

I finally finished the first draft of my essay and the heating was fixed so the evening was slightly more enjoyable compared to the rest of my day. I decided to spend it finishing off my 'pink' themed art journal page, based on the 'blue' one I did on Saturday.

I sincerely hope all your days were better than mine, and heres to a brighter tomorrow!

Green Curry Recipe

Recently (over the last few months) I have been experimenting with various green curry recipes to find a combination that I like the best. I think tonight my search was finally concluded with the following method.

Ingredients
500-750 grams of chicken breast
half a zucchini
2 cloves of garlic
half an onion
400ml coconut milk
rice for 4 people (I usually make 1 cup)
a small handful of currants
half a teaspoon of brown sugar
a dash of butter

Makes enough for 4 servings.

Method
1. Cut up the chicken into bite sized pieces.
2. Throw a dash of butter into a frying pan and then add the chicken pieces.
3. Cut up the zucchini and onion into small bits.

4. When the chicken is almost done cooking, add one clove of garlic.
5. Then add the coconut milk, second clove of garlic and the vegetables to the chicken.
6. Throw in the currants and brown sugar.
7. Leave to simmer for about 10-15 minutes to enhance the flavouring.

8. Serve with rice and papadums.

I hope you all enjoy this and let me know what you think of it!
